My Review of Devil May Cry 3/Special Edition

I heard about this game's release from my one cousin. He's been telling me stories about what this game's like, and that made me wanna get it. The other reason for me to want to get it was because I enjoyed the previous two games.

So I managed to get it as a late birthday gift and what I thought about it...It was different (because it was a prequel and I didn't really understand stuff like that at around the time). But right when I was watching the 2nd cutscene where Dante was doing all of those awesome moves after he turned on the jukebox, this is when I started to love the game. When it got to the gameplay, I loved it so much, I found it better than the previous two.

Now a couple years (or was it one year?) later after getting my computer, I heard about the release of the Special Edition version of this game. I've heard about that you get to play as Vergil, fight Jester as a boss, and check out more stuff in the bonus materials section. I decided to get rid of my old Devil May Cry 3 game for the Special Edition version. And I consider Devil May Cry 3 (and Special Edition) is my most favourite game of the series.

Positive:

- pretty challenging gameplay (which is what I like)

- awesome soundtrack

- awesome cutscenes

- awesome concepts (enemies, atmosphere, move sets, characters, etc.)

- good graphics

- not too bad of voice acting

- not so bad of a script

Negative:

- for Special Edition, expect more (Vergil playthrough, commentaries, etc.)

- some of the voice acting

My rating -> 9.7/10

Overall rating from reviewers/studios -> 9.3/10
