How I came across this game was when I saw it in the game store when I purchased the first one. And then my dad's friend decided to let us borrow it after hearing about us playing the first one.

At first, I thought that this game was better than the first one because it had better graphics and I loved the acrobatic moves that Dante and Lucia did.

But then after hearing reviews about it and understanding more of what is considered as a good game, I started not to like this game that much anymore.

And to this day, even though I like DMC2's gameplay more than DMC4's (the reason being that it's not repetitive), I can't get into this game whatsoever, and I can see why CapCom wants to forget that this game happened. This one is considered as my least favourite of the series.

Positive:

- good music

- good graphics

- awesome concepts (characters, enemies, move sets, atmosphere, etc.)

- without this game, there would not have been a DMC3

Negative:

- horrible voice acting

- gameplay is way too easy, especially on the hardest mode.

- a very corny/cheesy script

- cutscenes I find are to yawn at

- sound effects are annoying

- expect more for the ending
